About Us

Paul Boult

RGN, DN, FRSA – Owner

With over 40 years of experience in the health, social care and social housing charitable sector, Paul brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and expertise to all CareVista training and consultation programmes.

The business draws on Pauls’ desire for delivering exceptional consultancy and training in all ‘caring’ settings to ensure that every person receives the very best from those who govern and to their managers and front line staff.

Paul has worked his whole working life in care and housing. He trained as a Registered Nurse and District Nurse, before taking senior NHS management roles including running community hospitals and community services in Devon. Having owned and run a domiciliary care service for 10 years he understands the pressures on providing services, managing staff and supporting clients in their own homes. He has managed a Learning Disability Care Home, when he was drafted in and took the service out of special measures with CQC. Paul worked at the Department of Health consulting with NHS CEO’s and Council Directors of Social Care on programmes to improve better collaboration across health and social care. This then led to a joint role with Wiltshire County Council and the NHS as a consultant on a specific project to improve rehabilitation after acute hospital stays and reduce hospital bed days and better long-term outcomes for patients.

All of the above needed good communication and change management skills to understand service cultures and take staff and customers on a change journey. His most recent work over nearly 9 years has been as a consultant with the Abbeyfield Society working with trustee boards of member societies of the Abbeyfield. The changes needed in this sector have provided Paul with the expertise to work at all levels of governance and accountability, sustainability for the future, etc. Partnership working has been the key to build trust and openness to address the changes needed.

Paul will work with your organisation to provide bespoke training; consult on change management and work together on how to be sustainable for the future. He understands the challenges facing organisations with regulations, financial pressures, buildings needing to be fit for the future, health and safety and training compliance and all of this particularly in the charitable sector.

Developing Dementia Friendly Churches

What would a dementia friendly church look like? How welcoming and friendly is your church for those living with dementia?

It’s an interesting and important question for all church ministers and leaders. Many churches have congregations with senior people who may have dementia, so how can CareVista help you to support your congregation? Not just those living with dementia and their loved ones, but those who serve, minister or support pastorally, and also including everyone in the congregation.

How fit for purpose are your church buildings and meeting spaces for those living with dementia?

How well equipped are you as a minister or leader to support your ministry in care and nursing homes where you or a team may lead communion with residents living with dementia?

Care Vista is here to help your church find solutions to support those living with dementia, whether in worship and praise spaces; for pastoral support; in your sermons and presentations that can be made dementia friendly etc.
